we need to be tougher on scammers and make traders feel safer.

I think there should be a mandatory voucher deposit before anyone is allowed to trade in the market section

thread posters should be subject to a deposit before they can sell anything, this deposit can be made refundable after posting in a refund thread afterwards

there would be a market forum manager that would oversee all refunds and deposits, also depending on the size of you trades, it would increase, for example;

someone trying to sell 1B cant deposit the same as someone selling 1M.

deposits would be relative, this would help towards abolishing scamming.

the deposits can be used to compensate those that are scammed, also unclaimed deposits can be used to help the site flourish.

deposits would be locked if the user has any disputes opened against them.

everyone & anyone can be scammed, it just requires more work, ive been scammed, the guy had pretty solid feedback and rep on the site, however if he had deposits, it would not have been as bad as it was.

what do you think & why?

I think the current system we have now is perfectly suitable for users.

Getting scammed is due to lack of precaution and standard protocols.

Users just need to be smart. :P

Instead of creating a whole new system for the Market, simply use a fairly trusted Middle Man as stated above.

It's a nice suggestion however it'd only be implemented if ther was nothing to help the situation, however a trusted Middle Man should be fine.

Won't happen, if people just use common sense you won't get scammed. Don't go first to someone with 1 feedback and 1 post.

If you are questioning the legitimacy of something, you might want to just end the deal. I never go into a deal that i feel could go either way. I just back out.

Another option that might be good for the site,

get someone to make a sort of "PA" by letting Osbot hold the money for various trades, an example:

Player A wants to sell 10M 07 gp for 30$

Player B wants to buy 10M 07 gp for 30$

They both agree to trade.

Player A makes an "offer" on the osbot trade system,

Player B responds on the offer and pais the 30$, those will be hold on osbot untill player A paid player B.

How about this? or will it be to hard to make?

Like people are stating above, if you just use common sence and don't trust people with low fb don't trade with them.

And this is why there are Middlemen here on the site, if you don't feel safe going first to the other person you use a MM.
