Now, folks, if you paid any attention to any of my warnings or the RS forums, you would know JaGeX is using a different method to catch and ban bots. They are not releasing their method, but, they have the same tools as RS3, and, if you'll notice, botting on RS3 is almost immediate ban.

So botting one account not goldfarming they wouldn't perm ban me then?

Yes, I think so.

Just wanted to add my 2p, It's not just to do with multiple accounts, I have had accounts banned with 1 IP per account and my friends main's have been hit too with this kind of ban. (No other accounts).

A gold farming ban just because of multiple accounts per IP is a common misconception, it seems to be the name for their server side detection type of ban

Seems like jagex logic - 2 or more bots on a single IP - "yep, goldfarming right there" ^BAN GOLDFARM^

EDIT: nevermind, other user input suggests other

They goldfarm-banned a couple of my WCers as they were leveling up at oaks. Had not sold a single item, nor had i recieved any (not that it matters). I raged hard then loled at the ridiculousness of the situation. Non flagged ip (no previous bots or bans on it).

my2p:

They are now banning for breaches of tos they THINK you will commit.

Like they could basicly ban you at tutorial island cus u are clicking past the dialogues thinking "Aha this guy must be a botter since he knows all the tut steps" bam ban all accounts on that ip.

This is like future united states where you get executed for "thought crimes". Someone got a good lawyer? Send him their way lol.
