Developers having access to account information?

Featured Replies

Although only a rumor, It's better to act upon this and ask the community including any mods if this is potentially true.

OSBot uses Injection, therefore developers and whoever has the information can easily " Hack " your account. Now judging by the fact you have to pay to use multiple accounts plus they have the sponsor option. seems to me as the creators of OSBot want to make a profitable business from this website and wouldn't want to put there customers at risk. But you can't ignore these kinds of claims.

If anyone has thoughts on this, feel free to post.

Cheers

As for the developers of the bot, yeah they can I'm pretty sure. Maxi & Laz, however, are very well known on quite a few other forums and I wouldn't worry about a thing.

Maxi is trusted and laz even if they have acces to they wont do anything and yes they want money of osbot

Our aim is to create a profitable business out of OSBot with an outstanding bot quality and community wise whilst staying fair towards you, the community or in other words our customers. Keeping your security high is a must for that to happen. We have security measurements in place to prevent any sensitive information from being stolen, and are always thinking how to secure things even more.

And so far we're doing good. smile.png

OSbot 100% safe. Look how active the forums are, as Maxi said the main aim is profit. Releasing great scripts and selling VIP's will = more profit than account scamming. I wouldn't worry about a thing..

Would not worry about a thing, people give their information to Maxi and the developers all the time to help them with randoms. The developers are completely trust worthy no need to worry at all.

Of course they can gain access to it like any other botting site, but i don't think they are storing them or anything like that.

I highly doubt they would try to steal accounts with the way things are going (if they could), OSBot is heading into the right path with a lot of potential.

Off topic: I've been inactive for a week due to moving homes and just came on today. I'm assuming you haven't seen my Display pic around, but may i ask kindly if you could change your DP please? It's kind of weird seeing someone else with the exact same picture as me :p.

Technically speaking, yes, using reflection/injection, your account information can be accessed. It's stored that way in the RS client by Jagex. As this is part of RS, there isn't much we can do about it. Having said that, OSBot does not send any sensitive information anywhere. Your account information is stored locally on your computer. Thus, you also play a role in your account security by ensuring that your computer is not compromised.

Such a positive reaction to this topic, I'm very happy the developers came here and cleared up any doubts i had regarding the client.
