... I gave you a simple fix.

It won't popup when I go to properties

It won't popup when I go to properties

now it opens for a second and then closes

JDK is not needed. JDK stands for Java developer kit which is required when programming, compiling and things of that nature which you will not be doing based on what's been said in this thread.

http://www.java.com/en/ <- Download Java with the download Java button..

Restart your PC (you shouldn't need to but just in case) and then try to run the file if it does not detect it requires Java to open the JAR then right click open with > choose default program > browse > find Java > click Java = boom done. JAR stands for Java ARchive so it automatically detects it requires Java.. the only other reasonsI can think that it doesn't work is because you have an unstable system or you have a conflict somewhere or you're an idiot.

P.S. Re-install 64bit.. http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/32-bit-and-64-bit-explained.htm = Don't touch things when you don't know what it's for/it'll do. One common cause for unstable systems is because people touch things they don't know what they do and how it affects the system.
