This time i come to you guys with a better situation that what i was in earlier this month.

I've been applying for jobs EVERYWHERE (I'm 18) and can't seem to find one.

I've applied at around 30+ places realistically. But of course no one wants to hire a convinced felon w/ visible tattoos that cant be covered (I have one full sleeve, with tattoos on both my hands. YES STUPID I KNOW i got them when i was 15.) It's pretty obvious that I've made poor decisions early in life.

 

BUT. 

 

Chipotle, a Mexican restaurant that makes some big ass burritos, called me yesterday (Friday) and asked me to come in between 8-11 today for an interview! So, I'm leaving in 20 minutes because its 7:40 now. And they told me they will still hire me as long as I dont have any violent charges. Which i DID as a juvenile but i got my record sealed from the public. 

 

The only reason my juvenile record can be looked into, is if i were to apply for the military.

 

Well anyways guys. I'm leaving here soon to go to my first interview ever wish me luck :P

I'm 21 and I am finding it hard to find a job in Melbourne, Vic.. I been applying for jobs on Seek and CareerOne and even newspapers and no one wants me but I will keep it up and maybe I get something but I sometimes want to quit life but I just keep going and never give up soon one day I get a full time job and I will be so happy but for now I have to apply for more jobs and see if I get call up...

Well, i just got back from the interview. there were TEN others there. so 11 including me.

They do interviews that are in groups of 4. I was wearing a collard long-sleeved shirt and dress pants. Ofcourse my Hand tattoos were still visible. The guy who ran the interview said he has team members with full neck tattoos. Luckily i was in the first group. The guy said he was realistically looking to hire 1-2 people ..

Ugh FUCK I dont think I'm going to be hired.

That's tough but understand that there are many unemployed people, most with college degrees. It seems as though even simple places like Chipotle are upping their standards due to our current economy. I hope you do end up getting the job despite your past!

That's unfortunate. I would try every fast food place there is near you. If there is an Oasis, (Look it up) go there, places there are ALWAYS hiring.
