My Idea for Anti-Ban

Featured Replies

I already gave my thoughts on this but ill share what i think about talking anti-ban. Talking anti-ban is never ever a good thing. No matter how good it is people will know they are talking to a bot. If you google "clever bot" and talk to that you'll notice you're talking to software and that software has been under development for years.

My idea wouldn't even attempt to have a normal conversation, just little comments like "Stats?" and "ugh this is boring". Those aren't bot triggers and require like 2 lines of code.

but then people will try and carry on the conversation. Also if you have 5 bots running the same script you'll have 5 bots randomly asking the same questions. I've seen it with scripts I've used and in game before.

1) It's less likely for a person to think you're a bot if you've asked what their stats are and then stopped talking than if you haven't said anything at all.

2) 5 bots in the same world and in the same location? Why would anyone do that?

yeah the other language idea is brilliant.

also maybe set a feature where it only responds every set time limit that way your bot isnt acting crazy

Or how about making a bot that detects a when a single player comes into a close proximity and says hello, have the bot respond hello in a foreign language, more specifically not a popular or well known language, so then a conversation will never initiate or go any further.

I would never use this method, but it's food for thought.

I don't think that what work unless the so called "human" knew two languages. It's just more uncommon.

I always wondered why no one ever implemented checking for a mod in a client before. Example: If someone is getting bot busted, and there is a mod before it gets banned then the client picks up on that and then lets everyone know that there are mods bot busting as a message or even have an option to have the accounts log out if there is a bot bust going on. To make money on it they can even have it as a separate status like VIP only it would be called like "pre-cautionary" and it's like 20 bucks to have that status. Or they could implement it to the higher donors like Sponsors. Obviously you wouldn't want it to be cheap and low and given to VIPS because then jagex would find a way around it by disguising their account or something.

I like the idea, but the hello should be one that everyone knows  like bonjour (most people know it's hello in French but can't speak French) so they know you speak a different language. Instead of saying something like Tungjatjeta (hello in Albanian) which they might think you are talking jibberish/a broken bot.

When I saw one of my accounts disconnect and get banned for bot busting there was no yellow dot nor anyone in the area.

Using a very niche language could be useful but people may google-translate then.

Probably the only people that would google translate some random kid's dialogue would be to see if they're botting

This is a shit idea. In fact, this is a shitty, lazy idea.

For my anti-ban, I invoke a new window that displays chat text and a text-field that allows for user input to be sent through to the actual game. Each chat instance is time-stamped and colour coded, so If the user has said something that I consider a 'threat', e.g., <Text containing first few letters of your name>, "Report", "Ban", "Banned", "Bot", "Macro", etc. The color of that record would be red. There is also a sound notification that plays, too.

My idea is supposed to provide me the chance to 'fight back' macro accusations made against me by notifying me of note-worthy dialogues between in-game users.

It also provides me with a piece of mind knowing whether or not someone has reported me. Because if they have, I can modify my behavior to contradict their reports..

If it was implemented into the client then it'd be able to tell when there is a bot bust going on when x amount of accounts get banned in x amount of time.
