does jagex see u when you do high trades?

Featured Replies

my question is, can i get banned for rwt by jagex? Like will jagex keep a look on you when you do high trades? i've seen many people getting banned for rwt.

Thanks

They don't.

jagex can review it if u are either reported by person for rwt. or ur ip is flaged for rwt or or other things they can check evry log trade in the the rs database.

i did sold money to rswalmart just 150M eoc before and i did get banned for rwt on average good account.

they can see what you have traded from account to account in the trade logs but other than that not sure what else they have. keep in mind.. jagex has a lot of technology and brainpower you never know what kind of tools they have up there sleeves to know if your rwt or not

I received an email from Jagex for RWT.

I wasn't rwt, I was simply transferring money to a different account. I'll copy and paste the email now.

Dear Sir or Madam,

We have collected convincing evidence that you have tried to trade your RuneScape account or sell your virtual items outside of the game environment.

Such real-world trading is destroying the economy of RuneScape and is in violation with our policies. Therefore any player that continues to engage in the illegal activity has no place in our community.

All of your accounts are now on our watch-list and will be automatically monitored for real-world trading. Regardless of who you are or how long you've been with us, if you continue to real-world trade we will have no hesitation in: (1) permanently banning your account from our community in order to protect the game, and (2) naming you as a defendant in Jagex Limited vs you, which is a lawsuit based on antitrust law violations that is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California (Civ. Action No. SANC-V13-00342-CGH).

If you decide to ignore this email and instead continue Real-World Trading, we (Jagex Ltd) reserve our rights to pursue statutory damages against you for between $200 to $2,500 per act of past, present, and/or future real-world trading in accordance with 19 U.S.C. 1307©(3).

In addition, we have temporarily changed your RuneScape account's status.

Please fill in the following security form to monitor your account's status or to appeal the infractions you have received

That's the email I received. Although as I said, I didn't get banned or anything for it, so i'm not sure.

<><-ing at it's finest

I got banned for Marocing goldfarming LOL perm.

I personally think that they do receive alerts when a high or uneven trade happens and they ban if it occurs repeatedly.

Its actually very possible for them to check trades, i got one of these bans last week:

That account i hadn't touched for 7 days when it got banned, got both my mules banned when my whole farm was banned.

Edit: Was last week on monday, first time I've seen a ban like that might be something new.
