It's quite confusing when Jagex talks about the "backups" of the game they have, I remember months ago they said they didnt have a backup of GWD, then they "suddenly" found a backup of it, which needed some fixes. When people ask them about the GE they say that it would be too big of a job to do.

 

A such big company as Jagex has backups of everything, which is why its quite sad to see them lie about these things IMO, I just want the GE now lol, it takes forever to sell sht etc :L

 

I dunno, maybe they lost the backups? It's just a weird argument they are using for all updates, I think they are just saying it so people keep playing and waiting for "new" content (which is old)

Actually that's incorrect. They had a backup for August 2007. "Old School Runescape" refers to RuneScape before EoC... not 2007. This is a common misconception because they said they had a backup of August 2007 --- which is what Old School started from. Which is now the common saying for what old school is supposed to be.

They can also Re-code Gwd.... They don't really need a backup if they want to re-create.
