1) Like the first guy said, tax it to increase government income. Also, all the millions of dollars spent to patrol in helicopters to destroy weed fields, would be saved.

 

2) Inhaling any kind of smoke isn't good for you, but it's not terrible. Since it's not addictive and people do it all the time and it's shown to not be harmful, so what? Make it legal. About it being a "gateway drug", what do you think about legal prescriptions such as hyrdros and oxys? Those ARE addictive and DO cause harm. So how about a natural pain reliever instead a chemically engineered drug?

 

3) I've been a light user of marijuana for almost 5 years now. I've almost completely stopped because I've been getting very serious into weightlifting. (When I smoke I'm tempted to eat junk food instead of healthy foods) Never during these 5 years have a EVER considered trying anything else. Not even prescription pills. I've kept it natural.

 

4) Of course it won't STOP the drug war. But it will help some. That's one less drug to be smuggled to America, so yes it will help.

 

Like anything else, it's not perfect. But there's more pros than cons to making it legal. So might as well 

Legalize tax it.   increase law for any other drug.  Chances are people will switch out to selling harder drugs. thats all.  Also set laws for smoking and activies, same with smoking, in places / certain distance from buildings, not operating machinery (cars) etc.

This is an argument for making it legal. If it's legal it isn't as "cool" as it is now meaning less people will actually smoke weed and try to act "cool" (you can look at the statistics).

I agree that if pot is legalized that more than likely, less people will do it.  That fixes the "cool" aspect of pot.

But, it doesn't fix the other problem that people will still do it because they like getting high.  Legalizing it is more of just a patch up for the problem.  

People make up so many new ways to call for one word, i.e. pot (weed...), f4g (cigarette(British)) and so forth.

It's good in some ways and bad in others, overall I still stand beside my opinion of it being illegal. People will still use it.

Weed should have the same legislation as smoking cigarettes.
