What defines a Intellectual Discussion?

I agree with you both Golden and Daniel. My signature does not make me less intellectual but it is a lust that will never be fulfilled. Its also there for people to enjoy themselves none the less :P

I wouldn't say im shallow, im pretty skinny and not exactly super strong myself however I'll admit i can be immature xD

So it is best for the overall population, since the wealth is only in hands of a small percentage of people. However, I see the point you made. I'm not entirely sure how it works with Obama, but what I do know is that it works (or at least better than in America) in European countries.

So effectively the class that works the hardest and has the most success (with the exception of the lucky people/heirs) is the one that is punished. In an economy that is trying to get back on its feet and grow, you're impeding the growth of the group of people that know how to get it right.

Aza - I wasn't trying to explicitly call you out, but I was just saying to me it looks like that. I might be completely wrong, I don't know you, but I'm just saying that that's how I perceive it.

"SOCIALISM ERRYDAY BITCHEZ

fuk u haters"

... Would be an example of something we don't want.

It shows shallowness and immaturity in most cases. I love sex, I love naked women, and anything about the topic, but when you're showcasing women like that in your signature it's just stupid and pointless, in my opinion. If you like women, go out and have relations, it's just stupid to have it in a signature - it's not you in the picture, it's not your girlfiend, it's not your creation, it's nothing to do with you, instead it just reeks of a forbidden lust that most likely will never be fulfilled. Just my own intellectual observations, but my opinions too.

And I'm an atheist too.

Not in any cases unless it is intended by the user, in this case, most likely not. Having women in a signature is not in anyway stupid, it's something he enjoys, and decides to put there, I can put meth in my signature, it won't make me any less smarter. But again, your opinion is your opinion.

We don't want some hooligan posting on the forums about how he hates Obama because his parents do.

That's the only way I've ever looked at politics. :[

Kidding.

Actually, intellectual discussions don't involve proper grammar, it depends on your native language, plenty of people know English but cannot express it properly, therefore making them look illiterate, which I think is total shit.

Very true.

The fewer communication barriers the better the discussion as there are no misunderstandings. Lack of knowledge in a specific language is a communication barrier

That's a good point.

@ontopic

-Intellectual discussion?

Intellectual defined by who's standards?

It's literally just a discussion by people who deem other participants as 'smart' etc. If you get a more knowledgeable joining a discussion and disproving theories etc and stating new ones, do you think the new person in the conversation would define the previous discussion as intellectual if they are not trying to be politically correct?
