[TUTORIAL] How to run OSBot after the October 31th update!

Featured Replies

Double-click the jar and it should run!

Jokes.

I had to do that. tongue.png

Here's a little run down. This fix is only temporary. Many scripts are broken but some still work (only the real basic ones).

Warning! I am not responsible for what happens to your account. You are following this tutorial under your own discretion. I would advise you only bot using the updated client uploaded by a dev (@Laz or @Maxi).

First off, you want to create a new text document via Notepad. Paste the following into notepad and save it as a batch file (run.bat or something alike).

@echo off
java -jar -noverify OSBot.jar
pause

Replace OSBot.jar with whatever you have your client renamed to. I have mine renamed to OSBot.jar so I use "OSBot.jar".

Save this batch file wherever you have your bot client located. Mine is saved on Desktop so I would have to save my batch file on my Desktop.

After you have created your batch file, go ahead and run it. Once OSBot is ready to load the client, click on the plus icon to load a bot. After you clicked this, the bot should fully load the OSRS client.

Remember to use the batch file to run OSBot for this to work. If you close the command prompt window, your bot client will close as well.

Happy botting! biggrin.png

Damn it. I knew it was noverify, I just thought I'd have to recompile it. Thank you.

Already knew this, why did you give it away sad.png

@Laz is fixing the client anyway. This may be useful whenever we're in this mess again.

Thank you Celestial for sharing this, this is one of the most helpful post ever on this forum, and you forever have my respect.

If would kindly PM me your Skype I would love to give you 1M.

You probably don't have JDK installed.

Replace java with "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_21\bin\java.exe" in your batch file.
