yeah so I got a permanent ban, I've never had a ban prior to this so they ended up giving my account two strikes resulting in permanent ban. I appealed both of the offences and one of the offences has been "quashed" meaning the offence was dropped, but the other still stands. I'm a little bit confused, I mean its the same offence and I appealed both offences with the same appeal? are they just messing with me 

They've done that to me as well.

You botted and you got banned, that is not much you can do now. its hard to reverse bans, but it can be done. sorry about the account, I hope you can get it back

Seems like a problem with their system, but like most people said bans (ESPECIALLY goldfarming and macroing) are almost never reversed. And appeals are left unread/responded to for months on end. Most likely it's permed and will not be unbanned.

Jagex will make more money by banning bots/goldfarmers, therefore having cleaner servers, therefore a larger legit user base who is more passionate about playing.
