October 9, 201312 yr I need someone who knows stuff, opinion on this desktop. Yes, I know customs are better but take that out of the question. Is this worth it's value? Subtract about $30 due to a deal I can get on it. *Note: May downgrade to Windows 7 in the future if I don't like it http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/model/DT.GEPAA.002 Edited October 9, 201312 yr by WhoKnew
October 10, 201312 yr I know pretty much nothing about computer hardware and I could even tell you that's junk. Plus Windows 8? Are you kidding? I'd sooner switch to Mac before I used that. And I hate Macs
October 10, 201312 yr You would have more success buying a toilet to flush the remainder of your money down.
October 11, 201312 yr You would have more success buying a toilet to flush the remainder of your money down. Lol. Yeh this computer is great... for a child to play math games on the web. I don't work for Ibuypower but if you want a good pc and decent pricing (no prebuilds) save at least 500-600 bucks for one from them.

Still over priced prebuilt machines and the DOA rate of their machines make me wonder if a bunch of trained monkeys are putting them together. Honestly custom is the only way to go if you want bang for your buck. You can always find someone who will spec you a computer for a given price range and it really isn't rocket science on putting it all together. Newegg has a great video guide as well as many other sites. If you absolutely can't go custom then expect to be paying quite a bit more for the machine even more so if it is this gen hardware. Sure put it together your self then. GL HF Custom is an excuse for overpaying. Almost same as Prebuilt. Either way you are going to lose, go balls deep and flush your money.
October 11, 201312 yr I wouldn't buy this for anything honestly. If you are paying $298 for a computer, you are going to get exactly what you paid for: $298 of garbage
