Someone fucked me...

Featured Replies

Okay so I had a math test I got a 89 on some bullshit, I put a graph the wrong way, I was rushing and made a mental mistake. Which is completely me fault, but there was a question that had find the domain of f(x)=4-5x. Which my answer to was the interval notation (did not specify between the two) of (- ∞, ∞) and got wrong and the correct answer was "all real numbers" meaning she wanted the notation. Apparently during class she said that she wanted this as well and not the interval notation, but I do homework and stuff and don't really pay attention since I know the majority of what we are doing in class (how would I remember that anyway on test day). Now in high school I was taught that you can put either (of course I chose the wrong way), but she said that it was wrong because of something about no denominator (don't really remember). And in the review/practice test it had a similar question: F(x)=x²+5x+4 (not the same problem, but same point) and in the back of the book the answer was (- ∞, ∞), but in that question it asked for interval notation. Either it's not the same rule for the two equations or someone fucked me... Just mad that 2 things I knew the answers to ruined my chances of a 100.

Thought this was something else. Oops

I'm in Alg 2, and I don't we learned that you can write all real numbers or infinity, infinity (sorry lol idk how to put in the infinity symbol :P)

Did they at least fuck you in the denominator?

I think you a word.

Yes that is the answer in notation... I knew this, but I thought you could also use interval notation. It is the same thing in a sense, should could have at least gave me create for knowing what the answer was because the next problem I did the answer in notation which was:

f(x)=6/(15x-4) (or something along those lines. To which my answer was {x|x is ℝ and x≠4/15} or whatever the problem was.
