Deprecation of Official Legacy Java Client

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was wondering about the news that the Official Java Client won't be supported.  Will this result in instant bans on the OSBOT stealth client because it is essentially pretending to be the legacy official client? Or does OSBOT impersonate Runelite?

I guess the question is, will OSBOT still be usable after the legacy client is no longer supported?
Couldn't find anyone else talking about this. Thanks.

^This is very important.  What is the correct way to run OSBot now to avoid an unauthorized client ban and what will be the correct way to run OSBot in the future? Either I can’t find a guide on this anywhere in the forum or it doesn’t exist because I’ve been searching for hours and days.

Just another scare tactic,

I heard as legacy became unsupported, their goal was to kick runelite to the curb and create their own plug-in client*

I assume just like we patched runelite with osbot, their will be a method that allows us to patch the new clients if it even happens,

Within the Botting Community I believe there is some big brains out there that will Crack the update, the timeframe idk,

But I just believe it's speculation for now, don't worry, Jagex* has always played cat and mouse with botters 😛

I understand you can patch onto runelite. But patching into the launcher is different than the client spoofing. If the client right now spoofs Runelite's data then no worries. If the client spoofs the default client then there's a problem. Also I think runelite is planning to prevent the whole patching issue.
