So I've had an idea for a while.. My idea is to release a free SuperScript Loader to the community where you can load up scripts made with SuperScript Factory. This is essentially a free limited version of SSF, the limitations being that you can't edit/create scripts, and that you can only run one instance of it per computer.

Possible pros:

- People would become familiar with SSF, what the scripts look like, and what it's capable of.

- These people could be potential future customers for SSF if they wanted to run more accounts or edit and make their own scripts.

- Higher incentive for SSF users to release their scripts as there would be more demand.

- Free advertising for SuperScript when we come out with our experience gain signatures.

Possible cons:

- People might use it to get around buying SuperScript Factory.

- Would increase development time a slight bit, I would need to manage both versions of SuperScript.

If you have any other ideas of how people would use the SuperScript Loader, please add to the discussion smile.png. Do you think this would be good or bad? You can see a list of all of the scripts that could potentially be loaded with SSL here - http://osbot.org/forum/forum/190-superscripts/.

I think it would be a GREAT idea my reasoning is that when the script was available for those people who commented and liked that one post for the trial i tried to use it and never understood it nor did i go to trouble learning maybe this would enlighten me

"- People might use it to get around buying SuperScript Factory." This is the main con, too many leechers will get a hold of this and never purchase the script. Maybe if yiou implemented that when using this only a certain number of premade scripts will be availibile to them.

If you implemented it then I would support this.

No, don't release it.

Seems like a good idea! Perhaps make it last a certain amount of time, like 10-20 minutes before the script stops and the user has to restart it again.

That way the user would be tempted to buy it so that they can run it for countless hours.

I think this would be a pretty good idea, but they could easily just ask a friend of theirs who has SSF to make a script for them to run, and will lower the purchases so much.

EDIT: I agree with that time thing, give them a certain amount of time to use it within 24 hours.. like 2 hour limit, or something. Maybe less.

I think overall it would work. But it is a risk for you, and I'm not sure if you are willing to take that risk.

ops, i just rethought that and i think this loader should be payed for (voted for free)

Good but bad, depending on the script maybe make a time cap on it till you restart.

Maybe if its a money maker. 30 min frames

maybe if its a trainer just to kill stuff and not pick up items release for hours?

just example ^

wouldn't the script have to be on the SDN?

Maybe add a restriction to where the scripts only run for 3 hours at a time.

In the current state, I'd say no.

I'd rather all your dev time be put into the paid version until it's perfect.
