When does gold farming become worth it? And VPN questions

Featured Replies

So I've been running just a single bot for about a month to do some testing on different botting/farming methods and managed to do quite a lot before I was hit with a temp ban. I'm considering running about 5 accounts now and upgrading to VIP status (~90$ a month?). I know it depends on what you do and how you do it, but is around 5 accounts generally enough to make the process worth doing (building up several throwaway accounts) and cover the costs of memberships/electricity etc?

Also, as far as VPNs, I've seen a lot of mixed answers-- Should I use one?  I'd imagine my real IP is now hot because of the temp bot busting ban I just got. If I used all of the accounts on my IP address would they just be swept up quickly?

Correct. If you continue to use the IP you got your botbusting ban on, your farm accounts will be swept up very quickly.

I'd suggest the use of a VPS for running a botfarm :)

You want to use a VM (Virtual machine) have a windows os running on it. Gold farming becomes worth it when you end up making more money than you spend.

AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a great company to work with. You can run an instance for a few cents per hour and save your instance so you can run multiple instances at the same time. Surprised nobody in the scene isn't utilizing AWS. It's superior.

Have you even used AWS for botting? Their pricing is way too high...

It seems most vps services good enough to run 5+ bots are pretty expensive, while my computer could easily handle it, is that really worth it? Or do most people just run 1 bot per vps? What's the advantage of this over just paying for a good VPN?

I know I'm probably missing something, just trying to figure out what!

i just use a vpn. change my ip everytime i get banned. run anywhere from 5-15 bots at a time. 24-7. bots usually last a few days 24-7ing but then get temp banned, then will only last 24hrs after they are unbanned. gl with your gold farm. p.s. screw vps's, esp if they are made for "runescape botting" all their ips will be flagged and any account you make on those vps's will be banned almost immediately.

i have reasently had one of my acount banned so i continued to use same network and they draged them all down eventualy get a vps and save yourself time/money as far as electricity goes theres not to much of a cost to what i normaly pay it pennys in reality + you may want to look into stable methods and make shure you do something diferant like if fishing make shure that you dont bot in standard places and wear something uniqe i hope i helped

It is worth it when you make enough money for the amount of time spent working on it.
