Using IPs in dedi server

Featured Replies

Hello,

I bought dedicated server and provider notified that I have some IPs usable:

Usable IP Range: XX.XX.XXX.110 - XXX.XX.XXX.142

Anyone know how this works? I am thinking maybe I could try using them as a proxies for botting since I get them anyway with server :D Just not sure if I need any further setuping etc.

You probably could use those IPs, but you might be paying quite a lot for those IPs unknowingly. Also I think it's odd that you have 33 usable IPs which is not a normal allocation. Outside of ovh, IPv4s all cost at minimum $1/monthly per IP and I have never seen anyone offer more than 5 IPs for free.

Ah dont mind the numbers in the IP :D , I have 5 usable as well for free. So since they are free I though maybe I could just use them for botting. The thing don't know they what is correct setup to start using them :)

It's possible the IPs are already configured so try to login via ssh to the other IPs. If not, you can either google "add additional ip linux server" (or windows) or ask your host to configure the IPs for you.
