Are Past Expired Bans Still an Issue?

So I received a temp ban over a year ago for bot busting moderation. I've decided to do some light botting while playing again. My account has been a member the whole time.

Even tho my offense is no longer considered active am I at a higher risk for being banned?

And if I do get a ban will they give me a temp or is it an auto perma for a expired ban even tho it's not considered active.

Just wanting to be prepared & wondering how daring I should be. Thanks in advance

I can't say for certain but I do believe expired offences are part of the equation, among many other things.

As for whether it'd be a temporary or permanent ban that's just as unknown as anything else surrounding this topic, the best we can do is speculate. Some people have got away with 5+ offences on their accounts some get perm'd straight away on their first one.

Generally the attitude is "expect to be caught, banned; hope you don't" when breaking rules.

From experience. An account of mine which is now manual perm banned. I recieved 4 bot busting minors. This however, does not mean to say that if you get caught they will be lenient again. The liklihood is you will be perm banned now. Jagex have massively cracked down on macroing as far as I can see. Do it if you want to but realistically I would be looking at creating a new account and seeing how far you can get.

Thanks for the input guys. I figured there would be no way they would just forget about past bans.  It's good to have other peoples perspective.

On my last account I received a temp ban followed by a perma ban. I'm assuming if you pay for a membership they will let you off with a temp ban followed by a perma ban on a second offense. I guess we will find out.

I've had 2 or 3 temp bans on f2p suicide bots before. I've also had perm bans on p2p accounts after an hour or so of very minor botting. It's a complete lottery. I've botted a maxed 75att pure with no bans at all. I've been perma banned on a main for an nmz script which I've used on 10+accounts with no issues at all. I've also had an account permabanned with no botting whatsoever. It's always a gamble but I'd definitely advise against botting after being caught once on the account, that's if you're lucky enough to get a 2 day ban first.
