I wasn't spamming, I was agreeing with him. Agreeing with someone is a way of joining in a conversation irl so why can't you do it on a forum?

he wasnt giving his opinion, he was stating that what you did was against the rules, that by itsself is NOT spam.

and in this case "^" isn't really considered giving your opinion. if you just said something along the lines of, i agree with this because... or i disagree because...

 

just a simple ^ is not an opinion.
