Looking to get into scripting. What classes would you all recommend taking or have taken to learn then basics of creating scripts?

Learned Java in high school and a lot is self taught too I suppose.

The best thing is to understand core concepts of how Java is written and how the language works, then you can look at some of the tutorials here on OSBot and start practicing / tearing apart scripts. Then it really is practice makes perfect and asking for help when you're stuck. 

Don't learn how to make a script. Learn java and then come write scripts.

There are a million tutorials, any suitable. Find one that is best for you.

Solid I'll look into understanding Java first then come over here. What Eclipse package do you all use there are like 15 different ones.

Use IntelliJ IDEA, it's way better than Eclipse imo.

There are enough tutorials online for Java. and indeed, use IntelliJ.
