Getting banned on an IP: Does that increase your chances of getting banned again?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have experience with botting on an IP address with an account that was previously perma-banned? If so, have you noticed that all of your new accounts are getting banned after a tiny bit of botting? Almost like you're under a microscope?

i have like 6 accounts banned on the same ip and main/alt are still going strong. They really only care if you're like trying to gold farm.

Does Runecrafting count? My Perfect Fighter has been able to go strong for hours on end; however, Khal's Runecrafter got me banned two times now (the second time in a matter of hours). I was wondering if maybe Perfect Runecrafter would be different?

I think if it's the same activity you might have a better chance of getting banned. However it might just be the nature of the activity you're botting is why you're getting banned, not the IP itself. I've been banned 3 times at Khal wintertodt :L

Depends on the bot imo. Public ones are free, yes, but you won't last very long with them. Id invest in a private one and look into sources so your accounts arent on a single IP

I've had accounts perm banned on my home IP, still botting on it without any bans..
Just depends on your script and botting habbits.

Whilst you might be able to get away botting on the flagged IP, I'd recommend botting on proxies with 1 or 2 bots per proxy.  I've noticed my bots get banned a lot quicker if the IP has been flagged from a ban on another account.

only if you are creating a ton of accounts on the same ip all at once

Its more likely that if an account was created from a specific IP and then banned, other accounts made from that IP would be suspect. Not necessarily where you bot or play from.

I think jagex does flag IPs that had current bans on them
