Gold is affected be gold sinks and the rate at which actual GP is introduced to the game. Most notably, high alch. High alch is probably the most popular, albeit a slow way to train magic but since you can just afk spam click, it’s a pretty popular option. However, since the death mechanic was changed to 60 minutes, that essentially just cut out a big gold sink out of the game which is death. There are small gold sinks but nothing major and that’s devaluing the price of gold since there’s just nothing halting it. With the new update it should help a bit but who knows. Im talking about all the dragon/rune drops that are so common to get now, places like rev caves certainly don't help

Items shouldn’t affect gold prices. Gold affects gold prices. The rate at which gold is introduced into the game and the rate at which it leaves is what affects the price.

Hi alch Is that even a profit to high alch? and I thought you meant items in general. But yeah, introducing new items that can be alched is killing the economy. The spell high alch is responsible for the majority of it lmfao.

The reason people are still on RS3 is you can make more money than on 07 even though the buying rate for gold is .13/M Portable crafters can make 5-10m/Hr per account - which is currently better than osrs for RWT. o.O

Still not sure why people play.
