August 28, 201312 yr well i don't know why you guys hate jacmob so much, really smart dude, when I botted on RSBuddy his bots were really good and that's why he was hired, of course he's going to do his job at Jagex and ban bots. jacmob.. a person who went from making bots to banning them with jagex, now making a "program" that will catch all botters, we are on a botting site. use you're brain to figure out why people hate jacmob, i think i've guided you halfway there i hope you can do the rest.
August 28, 201312 yr BS. The guy that supposedly has inside info says "it detects all the clients people are using, etc." when Jacmob clearly stated during the livestream that detecting clients wasn't really what they were working on, but rather being able to detect bot-like activity successfully. That guy was ranked, so he might be his friend leaking inside info.. idk though im just warning you guys. Your source said that Jacmob stated there would be a mass bot ban in 2 weeks, a week ago, correct? In other words, Jacmob said that there would be a mass bot ban on livestream the week after this one. To me it sounds like he was just notifying certain people that he would be banning bots on livestream in the near future, which he ended up doing last week anyway. During the livestream Jacmob repeatedly stated that this particular mass bot ban was unplanned. They had apparently intended to be more organized in their bot banning approach, but they decided to do it on a whim last Friday. In other words, the first mass bot ban on livestream was meant for this week or maybe even next week which would explain why Jacmob said it would happen in 2 weeks, a week ago. The mass bot ban he's referring to already happened and it might become a weekly occurrence. The rest of the stuff about "upgraded botwatch" is speculation on the part of the person that was speaking as he clearly says "I might be wrong though", "can't confirm or deny", etc. It was also a response to the question about how they would track all the bots. It's already known that there is a botwatch system in place to track bots and that Jacmob is collecting data in order to improve it to successfully detect bot-like activity. So yes, an imminent "upgraded botwatch" shouldn't be news and should be expected. Further proving his statements are just pure speculation is that he stated that the upgraded botwatch could detect botting clients for OSRS. Jacmob clearly said during livestream that detecting the clients was not a priority and it's not something they're focused on doing. In short, everything this individual said shouldn't be considered news, is pure speculation, and his thought process can be easily explained.
August 28, 201312 yr Dealing with divination bots is probably a bigger priority to jagex. Listening to MMK's various events he, who holds more power in OSRS, seems more concerned with new content to keep players interested. Are there still players angry about bots? hell yeah, and there always will be, but new content seems to be the current plant over bot banning. We've reached a point where you can't bot freely, but bots are also not destroying the game for legit players.
August 28, 201312 yr Bot nuke #1- there were some "bans" but not really higher than usual, V2 - botany bay didn't rly do much except for cosmetic. doubt it will happen now.
August 29, 201312 yr On Livestream he was just banning the most blown up botters that all the nerds kept spamming in the chat, an some idiot said something about client detection and he said "something like that". anyways, still hasn't stopped anybody lol
