Featured Replies

If you all could give me some constructive feedback on how you think this computer will do me that would be appreciated.

Also how many bots do you think i could run at once and the all around greatness of the computer.

Decent although you could have gotten better with that price if you build your own pc.

From the little tiny bit that I'm learning about computers I believe you got a really good processor.

Well i can switch things up in the future but as of how it stands now what do you think?

From the little tiny bit that I'm learning about computers I believe you got a really good processor.

that processor isnt very good.

shouldve gone wth i7 3770k or i7 4770k. Both of which are 3.80 GHZ. I have an i7 4770k and im in love.

its not unlocked so you cant even overclock. i would never get a locked processor.

That's a laptop, not a gaming computer.

Prepare to be dissapointed.

However, if you're able to return it, with $1000 you can get:

intel 3770k $300 (overclock this to 4.5GHz on all 8 cores)

gtx 670 $300

16gb corsair vengeance $80

2tb seagate barricuda $100

asrock z77 extreme 4 $130

corsair 650 watt psu $80

corsiar case 80

total  $1070

You can add an ocz vertex 4 256GB ($200) if you want your computer to boot in under 10 seconds / games to launch instantly.

This rig wouldn't outclass that laptop so much as it would completely obliterate it.

We're talking a 2013 honda civic vs a 2013 lamborghini sesto elemento.
 Except they're the same price.

pretty much this^

as to the statement you're going to upgrade: nope. laptop parts are usually either: overpriced as fuck, hard to reach or both.

i suggest that, if you even buy a pre-build device,  that it's a desktop for gaming, because really they give much much better performance for the same price, or maybe even less

Its in their gaming section on the website. might not say gaming in big bold italic letters but they did design it based on gaming and convienance for all kinds of other stuff. not 100% hardcore gaming. on the asus website.
