A Few Questions...

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I've been using the client for about a month now and loving it, but i'm still unclear on a few things.

Does the client run off my default I.P address or does it run off a different one?

I've only been using it for combat training and never for gold farming, and i'm thinking about botting flax on another account to help get my crafting and fletching up on my main. I plan on doing this while i play legit on the Runescape client.

Will this mean that i will be running two accounts off the same I.P address at one time?

Is that dodgy?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

NE$K

Your IP is used when using OSBot.

Hope that clears things up :)

YOUR ip is used when on the client, so of course the more bots you are running, the more chance of your IP being flagged.B

Btw, this belongs in the help section rather than the Suggestions board  ;)

2 accounts on 1 ip is not a big deal and yes osbot uses your IP, you could get a vpn and use another ip of theirs

That is a good way to look at it.

Thanks for the help!

Does the client run off my default I.P address or does it run off a different one?

Yes, it's running of your personal IP when you use the client.

As for your next question,

I plan on doing this while i play legit on the Runescape client.

Will this mean that i will be running two accounts off the same I.P address at one time?

If you set up for a proxy to be used through your default browser (i.e Firefox), I believe that the IP you will be going off of will be different than that of your personal IP.

I've never tested it, so I'm not 100% sure on it.

Thus, you will be using different IPs between the client and the actual game through browser.
