Helping the market! [Thread made by Shakur so it's a must read ofc]

Featured Replies

I've been noticing a ton of market crashing especially from some of my scripts, I got this idea for price manipulation for Zybez and maybe we could help raise the prices of some items like White Berries, Blue dragon scales, and red spiders' eggs. Any other items post below and i'll add!

What you do: Make a fake post with the price listed on the Zybez Exchange page. It can be buying or selling, you can put a fake RSN in the post. It just helps raise the prices so people compete. Any suggestions are welcomed!

Please do this, all these items have crashed tremendously and some people goldfarm for a living, it takes five seconds to make posts and it really helps if a decent amount of people do this!

UPDATE 1: It is working! Check out the prices and keep making offers! Every item has made an improvement, if we can actually price manipulate the prices this might work and raise the prices 100-300 gp ea.

White Berries: 800 gp ea

Blue Dragon Scales: 700 gp ea

Red Spiders' Eggs: 600 gp ea

Thanks!

yeah until someone tries to whisper that account to buy/sell them, and they don't exist so they go to the next person , then this is flawed.

The Zybez price is made through offers made by people, also if people see one person is buying or selling for this, they might go next the price and start a trend, it is not very flawed. The PM part doesn't work, just put in the note you might not be online, etc.

Unable to add player - unknown player in that case.

Most players don't go by what Zybez says, more like how much the offers are, knowing myself I'll run down a list, the only way to really to stabilize the price of an item is by having if not all, but the mass majority of players with said Item selling it for the same price, without cutting the prices on each other.

Prices will always dropped when they are farmed.

I've noticed that in differant methods of farming you see differant levels of intelligence.

The harder methods have smart farmers because they don't under cut each other, whereas the methods that are super easy to start doing have idiots that keep trying to under cut the next guy.

It's working, all posts have raised the average price up a little bit, white berries are getting the most help, keep posting!

I actually did this for snape grass when I was gold farming, mainly to push down other sellers, and it did seem like I was selling them better, but i really doubt its going to raise prices

This doesn't help change the actual price of the items, all price manipulation on zybez is good for is making random items nobody uses appear valuable so people can use it for scamming. Yes, you can change the price listed on zybez, but all you're going to end up doing is preventing people from finding legitimate sales on the website, Its just bots doing most of the selling of these items anyways, they will just stand in world 1 or whatever and sell at the price they want, and the more people that bot the items, the more that flows into the market. Since the demand isn't increasing, and the supply keeps getting bigger, it becomes harder and harder to sell due to more competition, hence the price goes down.

If you actually want to increase the price, you would have to either convince people to stop botting the item/stop selling it for a while, or try to cut off the supply by buying it all yourself, the zybez manipulation just gives you the illusion that you're actually doing something (and lets you scam a couple noobs who actually use the zybez listed price and can't tell when it's being manipulated)

we're with alot of people, and we could fill a pretty huge chunk of the price list in zybez: i never ever watch the average price, i look at the latest 20 orso offers and determine the price from that point. if we have, lets say 30 people who do this for every item, would could influence the price pretty strongly.

so support, +1, like w/e but i think it's a good idea!

and there's me, thinking he'd be unactive:

Selling 100,000,000 for 13 GP ea occazn4life 8 minutes ago mail-medium.png PM me i can sell any ammount of water runes

it won't help =/ it will work for a day then all the people that are buying / selling will have plenty of berries and not want to buy them q

It's actually working, the thing is all you people have good ideas and arguments but here is my thought or logic for the matter.

OSBot obviously influences prices so say this happens.

Person goes onto Zybez to sell 1,000 White berries.

Sees a lot of posts for 600 ea - 650 ea. Then sees a new post just made for 750 ea, he feels he could sell for 700 each and he would make a sale.

This process repeats, it's an undercutting method as Vader said, but if we start the undercutting process high, it could raise the Zybez price of the items and start a trend, because face it, a TON of people use Zybez.
