Lukebo Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Normally I only use Ubuntu but now I decided to try out debian 7. However I used putty and filled in some codes and it randomly disconnected. Now when I try to log in with putty it tells me ''Network error: Connection refused.'' Atm I am kind of clueless what to do so it would be nice if someone knows a fix for this or an other way to connect to my server.
The Undefeated Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Try accessing the terminal through your VPS hosting and try these commands: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install openssh-server sudo ufw allow 22

I can only use the serial console which gives me a password and I have no clue what to do with the password.
