I was wondering if someone can teach me how to make scripts

Featured Replies

I have always wanted to learn how to make scripts but I have never had someone to teach me how to, will someone be kind enough to teach me?

do you have an IDE installed? Like do you have Eclipse, netbeans or intelij installed so that you could start right of? If you haven't you should really install those first.

You could check out a tutorial how to do it and how to create your first project/class

Search the web a bit first, I dont think you can expect a scripter to teach you from the very beginning. Pretty sure you can find tuts on google and youtube.

I searched it but it is just showing me, things that are coming up don't make sense

First, you'll want to familiarize yourself with the API.

This can be found here: http://osbot.org/api/

After, go and have a look at scripts in the LOCAL section of OSbot BEFORE we had an SDN.

Meaning  when people had to download a .groovy file and put in the scripts folder manually.

Here are a few links, download them files and take a look through them, these will help A LOT:

Here is a topic created by an Administrator at OSbot, he gives you an Example Draynor Chopper script. You could look through this code to see how things work as well:

http://osbot.org/forum/topic/353-example-draynor-chopper-script/

Afterwards, maybe check around google/youtube and other botting related websites for tutorials.

Just keep trying, you'll get error, after error when you first start just share the errors on here and I'm sure someone will help you! :)

You should start off with a little basic research, once u get the idea u should decide if you would want to get into scripting :P

Not everyone can be a good coder. Sometimes you got to accept that and do something else which is better fit for you.

The mentality that anything is possible with hard work doesn't apply in programming.

I can help teach you basics.
