From this noobs perspective it seems like it makes it easier to keep track of which curly brackets are a pair.....

 

Different languages have different conventions. That's why this is named 'Java' naming conventions :P

 

By that do you mean this ugliness? 

public class Example 
{
    public void exampleVoid() 
    {
         //doStuff
    }
}

 

People who do this really, I mean do they also write like this

hello my name is mike
,
today i was walking and then i realized i am a idiot
,
afterall im just mike
.
