That's a while ago. War's are barely fought like that anymore it's all airstrikes and tech shit now. The war on terror was a big fuck up with ground troops because they had to adapt to terrain. If a war were to break out (god forbid) America would shit stomp every single country.

Just an example.

 

Any British Forces/based on/ trained Infantry will be dominant in every aspect of field combat than the American forces will.

 

Technologically wise we lack, but in actual toe to toe combat we will beat American soldiers, especially the Gurkha's like previously stated.

 

But you're right with the technology based stuff, due to how our Navy and RAF has had so many pay cuts we're basically a third world country in that aspect.
