Waiting a year only expires the offence, where a quash is by JaGeX themselves.  I may be wrong, but this is how mine looks after a year.

Iv'e only had 2 accounts that have lasted more than a year after the first ban, the 2nd one ends tomorrow so ill see then

there used to be a way to just recover your banned account and say something like you got hacked and sometimes they would squash the ban but up until about 2 months ago they stopped doing that because they caught on to what people were doing.

If a bot busting moderate ban expires and you get caught again...do they give you another 2 day ban?

of course not

My friends ags pure was perm banned early 2015 and about a month ago it got unbanned somehow so im not sure on the perm ban thing.
