It depends on what his other PC specs are though, because we have not seen them. It would be pointless upgrading to a 1060 if his CPU isn't good enough for example

cpu is a little under kill, may wanna rethink the 1060 as you dont want any bottlenecks.

With a 1080p monitor you won't be able to run any decent games with that graphics card. Your processor also won't be able to handle much. If you can't afford the two, at least get a better graphics card and overclock your CPU http://www.amd.com/en-us/innovations/software-technologies/technologies-gaming/over-drive until you can afford a better one.

 

The cheapest card that comes to mind that would actually be worth a shit with a 1080p monitor would be the gtx 950 or the rx 460

Sorry buddy but you need to buy a new graphics card i would recommend you future proof with a nvidia 950 its perfect
