Honestly there isn't much you can do to a laptop. You may be able to find some RAM at BestBuy, or online. The problem is opening up that compact computer and installing it correctly, THAT IS IF IT IS COMPATIBLE!

Honestly breaks are what get people caught most of the time, that and a high anti-ban. Nobody is going to just sit there and check their skills over and over again while fishing, I mean come on. I also remember reading about how Jagex has figured out most algorithms having to do with breaks. The breaks (most of the time) just aren't human-like. When I make my scripts, I make sure to not put too much anti-ban, but just the right amount to make it seem as if you're afking. (Which most people do while skilling) Programmed breaks, and anti-ban patterns will easily be discovered and noticed by Jagex. Whew, long response sorry.

I assume you're referring the the range guild, and that this isn't a "Range Guide". Assuming so, a good world to bot on would be on any world with a lower population. The Range Guild requires 40 Range, which can be boosted to enter. Also, be careful when you use breaks, as that is how some people get caught believe it or not.

Everyone has their own way/speed of learning. There is no correct way to learn how to do something, especially not for coding. Some people can go to class, others just look at code and start to grasp it's meaning. Everyone is different.

Played both, League of Legends has had me hooked the longest, even though i've got 3 level 90s on WoW. Gold Division League player over here ;D
