You DO NOT Extract it! You need to run it with Java. If you do not have the latest version of Java installed, you need to download it here. If you still can't run it, once that has been installed, right click the osbot.jar file and select run with > Java SE Platform Binary.

Without knowing anything about it - I assume OSX has a 'safemoode' or 'safeboot' option, just as on windows?

The things OSbot contains aren't even able to modify anything on your computer that could eventually prevent it from booting. It must be something else. If it's fairly new, you might want to return it, as it could be damaged in some way, or get a hardware specialist to look on it (all tho that could cost you money)

I use AIDA64 for all my system tests/system stability tests.
