It stops for ages. if someone else is attacking it, it will wait till it's dead. then try another. Can be stuck doing nothing if it keeps attacking the same target as another. It also didn't loot during this time

I got mine working again by starting it with NO account running, then started it with an account again. see if that works for you?

Edit - Suddenly it's working again. Doesn't work at the last section of falador rooftops, keeps trying to climb the roof behind it.
