This man doesn't know what he's talking about. They're about as dangerous as the tooth fairy. Free proxies and VPN's are run by people who are either interested in recording all your data so they can sell it for profit to database and marketing companies or use it as a vehicle to install viruses and bots on your computer. These people don't give away what costs them thousands of dollars a month in equipment and internet costs for no return on their investment. No one said anything about free.

For example, I wanted to sign up to a Netflix subscription and I have to put in my Credit Card details. Can the hosting company track that? Furthermore, could someone direct me to a trusted proxy that I could use, if they are safe? Tor Browser is anonymous as you could get.
