I cant say I have heard of people getting banned for just using the client to manually play, I remember logging on by accident once because I wasn't paying attention and having a heart attack and my account is still here xD

Yes they can, I play more than that majority of days But on topic - It's very possible that they detected you via certain scripts being used and such, but at the same time this is what happens also when you bot, you need to accept the risk - Give us more information such as what bot, where abouts
