  1. Thank you very much! I have found loads of useful information so far! It is just finding a mix of things you can do to rotate the activities to make the accounts last longer. Still have some accounts running just fine. Just can't decide on what is best for a bot farm, creating long term accounts for tasks like zulrah or just suicide bots on f2p, both are work but I think long term will make a lot more money.
  2. I went from 1 - 40 cooking on both accounts and left it at that, I did do it varrock east bank so wonder if someone reported me as it is a bit of a busy area. They were also both new accounts. My other accounts what are older are working great, no problems as of yet. I am starting to get a feel for botting and what is required to do it properly, I just need to learn a few more things and learn how to scale it safely.
  3. So I brought a cooking script yesterday and the two accounts I used it on are already banned, I guess some scripts have a extremely high ban rate even if purchased!
  4. So I am also using Virmach as one of my proxy providers, so far it has been working fine with no issues. The reason for wanting a proxy with a residential IP address is because each ISP has a range of IP addresses that is uses for its business IP's and a range for its residential customers. Now a datacentre or provider will also have a range of IP addresses that it uses, Jadex have most likely got the IP range of all the big datacentres and made a note of them so if anyone logs in under one of them IP addresses it knows to monitor it more carefully because it already knows its not a residential IP address and in fact it is coming from a well established business, and they aren't many reason why you would have that. By displaying a residential IP you are adding another layer of protection, like mirror mode on the client, its never going to fully prevent you from getting banned its just going to slow them down hopefully!
  5. No sorry I didnt write that very well, not randomise the proxies just a new tunnel for each client and the change the mac address for each client, that would be the safest bet, I will do some research later to see how it can be done, I know some of the people do that.
  6. Yeah i just saw somewhere someone said to randomise your mac addresses as well as proxies so who knows but I will see what happens I guess, all good so far anyways. Just trying to level them up a bit to keep my options open.
  7. Yeah, I have multiple proxies setup so each account has a different IP to prevent them chain banning my accounts, I was just wondering if anyone has had a problem with chain banning on mac address?
  8. I will look at getting better proxies but at the moment the one I am using seems to be fine, I am not entirely sure if it is a data centre IP but it is working at the moment. I actually have access to some old servers I am going to setup if this goes well that way I will be able to run loads of accounts. However I need to find a way of randomising the mac address for each instance or they will see loads of IP's coming from the same MAC address what could enable them to ban all of the accounts associated with the MAC address. Buying multiple computers will solve this but it is a very messy solution.
  9. So I have another question, using mirror mode you can't use a proxy, I can create a connection routing all my traffic to that proxy so its not an issue but how would you open multiple clients on different IP, or would you use stealth and just connect to the proxies that way? Does mirror mode actually make a difference or is it something if your using a zulrah bot or something?
  10. I have been using my proxy and it seems to be working absolutely fine so far, ive not been locked out yet anyway. How long before you normally see an issue with being locked out before if using a non residential IP address? All seems to be going well so far! Yeah I don't plan on F2P suiciding accounts if I can help it, I would like to run between 50-70 accounts in the end, im starting with just 5 at the moment. No issues yet, I just want to get some baseline results so I can see if what I am doing is working, what script works the best etc etc. Yeah I don't plan on botting more than 8 hours on each account in the week but go a little harder on the weekends.
  11. Nice one I might just try that! There are some really odd money makers out there aren't there, I have a couple of ideas but no idea how profitable they will be yet. Excited to crack on, would you recommend doing some quests and getting some stats on each account even for methods with no reqs?
  12. Yeah that is true to be honest, maybe the way to go is a mix of email providers to try prevent a pattern. So much to think about!
  13. Cool thanks for the info and tips! I have a VPS running and I have brought some SOCKS5 proxies to get started. Now I am going to create around 10 accounts, im not sure what to bot yet but I am probably going to buy a script rather than use any of the free ones. Is it worth buying sim cards to just make legit gmail accounts to use as email addresses? You can link more than one to each number so might lessen the ban rate maybe as they are a big email provider? Not that it would matter that much I guess, im just trying to think of a way to try safeguard myself as much as I can. I know the bans will come but its all about delaying that process right?
  14. Thank you for the welcoming reply Apocryphal! Brilliant, thank you very much for them links, I will look into them now! To be honest I haven't touched on Java in many years but focused on developing API's for many companies focusing on Midware for small to large businesses in a variety of programming languages, developing websites and web hosting so this should be a fun thing to learn! That map is absolutely amazing, it must have taken some time to compile all of that together, thank you very much! Yeah I read they have been cracking down on IP's for some time now, that just leaves me with doubt about using proxies. I guess that is something I will probably have to learn too in terms of what providers are best to use. I will just have to start with a couple of different ones and see how I get on. I know the importance of this step all too well, so I need to get it right before moving onto anything bigger. It would be cool if Jadex had an API to create accounts but I imagine that would cause them so many problems! Thank you very much I will look into these!
  15. Hello all! So being a Runescape fan since 2005, I have always had a big interest in the game. Playing on and off since then, I used to bot way back in 2006 but after absolutely abusing it my account eventually got banned, back then they used to unban your accounts after a certain amount of time, so when OSRS was released I decided to play properly. While at the same time I have worked in IT for nearly 9 years now. I have done everything from development to being an IT Manager so botting, script making have always interested me and I am now at a point in my life where I have time to invest into this topic. So I have experience in terms of working with operating systems, hardware and development but no idea about botting and script making, what makes a good script and how to reliably gold farm, that's what I am going to learn! So I have got a VPS setup and everything so I can begin to setup a small bot farm. It is much harder these days I know but its the challenge I am looking forward to! Just a question or two, can anyone recommend a proxy service they know is good and reliable and two is there any good documentation or guides for scripting for OSRS? Just to help me get started! I look forward to joining your community, and learning! I also have quite an extensive knowledge of servers, linux, web hosting and much more so please feel free to contact me if you think I can help with anything.
