Nothing wrong with AMD. Also, cheaper stuff usually aren't worth it due to technological advanced continuously happening. If you get something cheap, it'll last a few years. If you get something higher quality, it'll last a lot longer since the technology won't really be obsolete as fast. Do you have to have a laptop, or can you use a desktop? Desktops can be cheaper and/or better quality while laptops are generally weaker but are just portable. Also, make sure whatever you get has room for upgrades.
