Lol. You'll have to PM then from another account or wait until your mute expires. I remember I got muted and my friends were messaging me and I was typing and they didn't see it, so they thought I was botting. xD I had to go on another account to say I'm muted. (I don't bot)

Yeah. You can type but only you can see it (and maybe mods). If that's in 07. I don't think you can type in EoC, only use the quick chat feature, but not sure. Jagex is coming out with an update so this is probably related to that.
