Of course there are legit sellers, but you have to wary. I think your best plan of action is to make an account yours solely, and then have people train the skills or quests that you don't want to do. So this way you own the account at the end of the day and you won't have problems recovering it.

There's method of afk'ing bandits at the Bandit Camp in the Kharidian desert (South of Alkharid). All you need is an Zammy item or Sara item and they'll auto aggro. You can bring food to un-note there as well as GP, or use like a Guthans set to self heal. That's the one only that comes to mind before NMZ.

Did you open the Osrs official client first and have that on the login screen. And then open Osbot and select mirror mode? That's how I've done it and it usually detects immediately
