it is definitely possible, i've quit runescape because i have too many 99's and i don't enjoy the remaining skills enough. (yes i can start an ironman but i'd rather spend the time in another game) everytime when i listen to some OSRS music i really,really want to boot up osrs and play, but i don't because the second i log in im like, great. now what? i dont feel like doing anything

probably yes You need to know that vanilla wow is very,very, very different from the main game right now. It is much harder, leveling takes much longer, but it will feel much more rewarding, and you'll travel around the world of warcraft, unlike current wow. IMO the experience is just muuch better.
