  1. You downloaded the client from the OSBot home page, yes? I'd suggest deleting the folder OSBot in %userprofile%, and redownloading the client & relaunching.
  2. Is that even a question? Subway masterrace reporting in.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion. Problem is I'm already an expert in those aspects. I'm looking for more advanced things. Ahh. Then I'd suggest working with SQL databases and the administration portion as those are the next things down the list. (adding PHP shells could be fun) Also, if you're looking for learning about the blackhat side of website programming, I'd propose learning about SQL injection.
  4. The data folder inside %userprofile%\OSBot\ is what you're referring to, yes? If so, try deleting the whole OSBot folder and redownloading the client. Make sure you have the latest version of Java.
  5. I'd suggest starting out with a free webhost and just messing around with it to see all of what you can do. My favorite free webhost is 000webhost because of their extensive (for a free webhost ofc) cPanel. You could even throw some Forum software on there and see what all you can do with that as well.
  6. Have you checked all of the tabs in your router's Settings page? If you're sure your router is unable to port forward, you'll have to get a 3rd party program. One of many programs to perform this task is here. (use at your own risk - untested)
  7. Port Forwarding - A Simple Guide Welcome to my tutorial for port forwarding on Windows. Follow this guide step by step if you are having connection issues. The port we are forwarding is 50050. If you already know how to perform a step, move on to the next one. If you know your gateway, start at step 3. Step 1 - Opening command prompt The gateway to a router is the address, or IP, that serves as an access point to your default network. If you don't know your router's gateway, you can find this out using a simple command through cmd, or command prompt. To open the Command Prompt, hold down the windows key (next to the Alt key) and press "r". (Windows 7 users can open the start menu and type "cmd" and then enter, bypassing the run entry) This will bring up a window (called run) that looks like this: In the text box, type "cmd" (without quotations). So, now you should have something like this open: Step 2 - Finding out your default gateway Now, once we have the command prompt open, we want to type "ipconfig" (without quotations) and hit enter. Something like this should come up (it's different depending on your network): If you are on LAN (have an ethernet cable plugged into your PC), you will find your gateway where the first (smaller) red arrow is. If you are on a wireless connection (say, on a laptop without an ethernet cable plugged in), you will find your gateway where the second (bigger) red arrow is. The blue arrow is pointing to your IPv4 (or IPv6) address. You will need this later, so memorize or write down whatever numbers come after the third dot (the underlined ones). For example, since I am currently on a laptop using a wireless connection, I would look where the second arrow is. (192.168.1.1) Step 3 - Gaining access to your router's settings After discovering what your default gateway is, go ahead and plug it into your browser's URL bar. I use Nightly/Firefox, so my URL bar looks like this: After plugging in the gateway: Now hit enter, and it will ask for a username and password. If you don't know your router's username or password, try the user being "root" and the password being "admin". If that doesn't work, check here to search for your router's default username and password combination. After getting the correct username and password combination, it will take you to your router's settings page. Step 4 - Port Forwarding Once in your router's settings, search for "Port Forwarding" or "Single Port Forwarding" under one of the tabs. Mine happens to be under Applications and Gaming, but once again, this varies per router. Now, since we want to forward port 50050, put it in the "port" field. (if you have an "internal port" and "external port" field like my router, put it in both) In the "To IP Address" field, put your IPv4 (or IPv6) address in. (the blue arrow above) Make sure "Protocol" is set to both and if there is an "Enabled" checkbox, make sure it's checked. Now, save your settings in your router and you should be good to go. Thanks for reading my guide, and if you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM or come into the chatbox. -Sherlock
  8. Didn't mean it as a personal attack, but apparently you took it that way. You're focusing on a subpoint (DoS), rather than the main point (breaking of the chat rules) of the thread. I was pointing out some possible detrimental (not quite sure where you got "dangerous" from) results from what had happened. I didn't mean to offend you in any way, and if mods see this turning into a flame-war (which wasn't my intent whatsoever), please close or delete this thread.
  9. I fail to see how advertising for your own website is a joke, but alright. I'm not suggesting a ban; I'm simply pointing out that the chatbox rules were broken by you as well as Toadfly.
  10. Filing a formal complaint against Toadfly and GoldenGates for their continual breaking of the chatbox rules. (Wasn't sure whether to put this here or in disputes, so I'll throw it here to be safe) Toadfly and GoldenGates have allegedly created a website (Toadfly being the owner) that they are constantly linking to and advertising in the chatbox. Not only is this directly against the chatbox rules, 5. Constantly advertising threads/urls is not allowed. but it is also possibly detrimental to the community of OSBot. For one, it is possibly harmful as Toadfly has the IP addresses to everyone who visits or signs up for his Forum, assuming they aren't using a VPN. This could be used for blackmail or even, if he wanted to, shelling/DoSing. Secondly, it fills the chatbox with unneeded spam. It sends the message that OSBot is not very professional. They constantly spam the link in the chatbox every chance they get. Look below for proof: There were more cases of this happening, however I did not grab screens. This is in direct violation of another chatbox rule: 1. No spamming I'll let the staff decide what to do at this point, if anything. Thanks for taking the time to read this. -SH
  11. This was brought up in a thread earlier as well, and my solution seemed to work for him, so I'll post it here. The problem is that you are signed out of the game client. In order to prevent duplication of the client (more gametabs by opening new client windows), if you are signed out of the client for more than x minutes, it will crash. The signing out can result from disconnections from your internet, and whenever you disconnect, it signs your Forum account out of the client. Thus, resulting in a crash a few minutes later. Make sure you stay signed into the client to prevent this problem. Hope this helps.

Stay signed into the client to prevent this problem. (the CPU jump you are experiencing is most likely the action of the client crashing itself)

  14. Why can't people just think?

  15. Congratulations Raf, I'm sure you'll fit the role perfectly.
  16. Upon trying to enter the chatroom, I received this error:
  17. Awesome work! I really appreciate the dedication from the staff! Keep up the good work Laz & the dev team!
  18. Not trying to seem forthright/condescending, but I have a few questions. 1. When was the database leaked? (Approx.) 2. What was the source of the blackmail on Kati? 3. Any idea of to whom the database was leaked to? and 4. Will changing both our ingame and forum passwords be enough to keep safe from this recent leak?
  19. Mario Party 4.

  20. Thanks a ton for this Divine.
