  1. http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/4561-bump-up-topics/ Description explains it all: Basically allows OPs to simply press the "Bump Button" in order to bump their threads instead of posting. This will stop spam, double posts, and excessive bumping. A timer can also be set so the button can only be pressed every X hours.

  3. I wasn't aware it was a girl. Because based on the way she is talking about it she seems to not know the exact function /role of player auctions(Not calling her uneducated, she probably just isn't too interested in market activities and more focused in the bot) . "we are trying to be our own market" makes it sound as if PA will draw people away from this market which is not at all what it does. Yes she has mad a decision, but people can be persuaded and change their minds. I disagree with her decision, as do many others, so we're trying to suggest her otherwise. If she wants the best for the market and happy sellers she wouldn't have any problem with allowing PA trades. As you can see this suggestion has lots of support from the community already.
  4. I'm aware of that post, if you read the first sentence if my thread you'd see that I linked to it and referred to it, and as you saw Krulvis already brought it up to. I made thus thread because I disagree with his decision and do nit understand his reasoning behind it, as do many of the posters here. Which is why I'm suggesting it should be allowed and wondering why it isn't.
  5. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and just delete all of your cache/cookies etc. Try using different browser(s) Chrome, FireFox etc and see if it works on those.
  6. As stated in the OP and some of the reply posts I made, PlayerAuctions DOES NOT take away from other market places at all. PA simply facilitates trades by acting as a virtual MM to protect both the buyer and seller. In no way does it take people away from our market, because PA is not really a market (it has no forums or social aspect to it). It just allows people to trade safely. Linking people to your PA offer is not destroying OSBot's market. OSBot is used to communicate, advertise your offer and maybe negotiate. Linking people to your PA offer creates a safe way to do the trade. This still requires OSBot's forum. Very well stated , exactly!
  7. Yeah I'm aware of that, that's the whole entire reason I made this thread Thanks for the support.
  8. This leads me to believe otherwise: http://osbot.org/forum/topic/7089-to-allow-the-use-of-player-auctionss-payment-checkout-link/?p=79692 Why would you need any sort of approval for a PA link? A PA link is PA link, nothing harmful there. Where did you hear/see this information, can you link it?
  9. I can't think of any reasons at all to not allow it, as I said every single other market allows it, since it in no way takes away from the website, it just helps facilitate trades. It's not like users will leave OSBot because PlayerAcutions has a better bot or forums or 'marketplace' because they don't have any of those things. It's the internet, and the internet provides anonymity, so where there is money to be made there will always be an abundance of scammers. There are a large number of people who chargeback and scam, and there always will be. Playeracutions helps ensure that that is not at all possible. It would be nice if everyone was true to their word and we could know they are trustable, but that's just not how the black market works.
  10. In regards to this thread http://osbot.org/forum/topic/7089-to-allow-the-use-of-player-auctionss-payment-checkout-link/ Every single other black market around allows PlayerAuctions trades, and I see absolutely no reason why it should not be allowed. PlayerAuctions is the one and only 100% surefire way to ensure safety for both sides of the trade and prevent chargebacks on PayPal. PlayerAuctions in no way competes with or can take away OSBot or it's market. They do not provide any sort of Bot. They are not a black market site (they have no forums or means of communication). Not many people visit PlayerAuctions organically in order to trade, the vast majority find specific users' PlayerAuction advertisements through Black Market forums such as OSBot. It's not like people will be leaving OSBot in order for PlayerAuction's bot (which they don't have), forum (which they don't have), or community (which they don't have). They simply help facilitate safe trades and nothing else. There is absolutely no harm at all in users selling goods via PlayerAuctions and even linking to their for sale offers here on OSBot. As stated above every single Runescape black market forum allows it to be used/posed because it does not serve as a thread to them in any way at all, in fact it helps the forums themselves be more widely used. They simple middleman and facilitate trades. Members of the market, let me know how you feel about this, I'm sure all of you will agree with my points.
  11. Can you explain exactly what you mean by "doesn't work". Posting screenshots of what you are seeing for both (noficiations/messages and what you seen when you click chat) will also be helpful.
  12. I feel like feedback number alone takes care of this and adding an extra rank/tittle/picture would be a bit overkill. There are already a good number of different ranks and statuses you can achieve to make you stand out. I don't believe any other black markets have something like this, they just rely on sheer feedback/vouch # and regular ranks like donator, vip, moderator etc just help add to their reputation. If this rank was based on a # of feedback it would sort of be synonymous anyways (ex 500 feeback+ = 'trusted' rank) same difference. People can just simply list how much feedback they have in their thread titles and people can view that and judge for themselves. I say just keep it as is for now.
  13. Please do not guess if you are not 100% sure because I've been hearing mixed answers. I've heard 20 or 40. Ideally can someone link to a thread by a staff member which specifically states the number of posts needed? Got my answer from a Super Moderator! Perfect! Thank you very much for that information.
  14. Thank you, yeah in the future I'll add some safer options (and oh yeah PlayerAuctions!) On Skype click your name (near your status) at the very top left. Then you'll be on your profile window, then you just click your Display Name (twice I think?) and you can edit it. Looks like this:
  15. It's common to seasoned market people yes, but there are a huge amount of people who don't know these things which we assume are basic knowledge and get scammed. You'd really be surprised on how many people fall prey to Skype impostors the number is quite high, they check only the display name and not the profile and get fooled. Many new people to the market are also unaware about PayPal not covering virtual goods and getting charged back. Yeah noted down the bit about adding a Skype button to avoid this problem, and I was going to link your thread too, I'll add that now.
  16. Hello everyone, YoHoJo here, a long time member of various Runescape botting forums and black markets with over 8 years of experience. I'll just be using this thread to give you guys my various tips/advice on how to stay safe in the black market section! I will be periodically editing this thread with more tips and even adding in your guys' advice (with credit of course). PayPal Payments can ALWAYS be Charged Back If you receive a payment for any sort of virtual goods though PayPal it can always easily be charged back by the purchaser. Contrary to popular belief a 'gift' payment or any sort of 'note' will NOT keep you safe from charge-backs. Scammeres can file an "Unauthorized Transaction" or a "I haven't received my item." dispute for virtual items, since there is no receipt for the order. Since you are selling virtual goods, there is no way for us to prove the items were delivered (PayPal doesn't care for video game footage/images) and you will lose the dispute. Try to use PayPal invoices or "Buy Now" buttons in order to create a proper invoice of the trade, and log down as much information about the user and trade you can in case of a dispute! Skype Display Name vs 'Skype Name' When trading a user on Skype make sure to check their Skype Name, and not just their Display Name. The Skype Name can not be changed, and is set for each account, while Display Name can be charged to absolutely anything! To see this, right click the name on your Skype contact list, click View Profile, and then check the Skype Name. I HIGHLY suggest all market uses create an "add my Skype" button so users can simply click the button to add their Skype, which reduces runins with impostors! How to create an add Skype button: http://osbot.org/forum/topic/6108-how-to-add-skype-button-to-forum-posts-profile-and-signature/ ALWAYS To Request PMs Although instant messaging programs such at Skype are much more convenient to use than PM systems, it's always best to request a PM on the forums just once in order to confirm the user identities. Sometimes users' IM accounts may become hacked or compromised, therefore a PM is the best way to ensure you are talking with the right user and serves as great proof for dispute threads!
