    Getting faster internet doesn't provide a better ping. (In a raw sense)

     

    Also (although I wouldn't recommending testing with speedtest.net) should supply a ping test to the location of your game's servers for a more accurate representation. 

     

    You lag because your low speeds when someone else is using the same connection

     

    Are you wireless?

     

    If not what type of cable is it and what are it's specs? (Should be on the cord) 

     

    You can also throttle the other's connections users but i'm not sure how low the speeds would have to be and they still enjoy their side if thats any concern to you. 

     

    WTFast works similar to how Firechat works. But adds a Server Roadmap Optimization  Riot's guide gives a good idea. Theres nothing really you can do too much to lower your ping directly. 

     

    Mostly you just have to throttle. But i'm sure they will notice the unpleasant experience. 

     

    I use speedtest to determine my download rate at home.

     

    Yeah, my mother is addicted to streaming movies and using all the bandwidth, so i'm trying to figure out how to throttle.

     

    No my device is not wireless.

     

    It says fast on the cable.

     

    I don't care about throttling their connection, they shouldn't be chewing up all the bandwidth.

     

    Don't want a lower ping, just don't want my ping to go full retard, the first picture shows it being stable.

    Hey guys, so I play Rift and MMORPG and there's no aussie servers (As fucking usual) and my ping usually sits at around 250ms if no one is home. I pay a monthly subscription for a program called WTFast which does something to my internet, I dunno what but it fucking helps a lot right, now this is the part where it's fucked:

     

    If anyone in the house comes home and opens up facebook, ping spike, if anyone watches a small youtube video, elongated ping spike, if anyone streams a movie, well gg i'm fucked.

     

    Is there a way to limit the amount of bandwidth other people in the house can use so that my game doesn't become literally unplayable for 90% of the day while people are home? It's ridiculous.

    Here's my latency in different scenarios (Just random screenshots i've grabbed from my history):

    Here you can see the MS on the left side of the graph, and the time frame at the bottom in minutes. The red line is my internet, and the yellow line is the effect WTFast has on amplifying my connection. Here you can clearly see on the left during my raid that my connection is pretty fine, there's literally no hiccups, maybe someone opens google or facebook now and again. Then it just turned to literal aids all of a sudden.

    Same thing here, it's ridiculous. I seriously need to limit bandwidth on other people or something, anyone know how? Cheers.

    just for that ima light up in a big croud of ppl prolly light a dark tobacco cigar and smoke proud..

    i didnt post this for the hate so keep the negativity to urself its not needed

     

    It is needed now that I have lung cancer due to breathing in other people's smoke. It's ridiculous. You're not just harming yourself you're harming everyone else.

    Well my deduction is:

     

    1) He lost verified because he lost VIP, you need VIP to get maintain verified.

    2) He asked for a demotion because he wanted to move on in life and work on his family.

     

    Could be wrong but that's what i've come up with.
