I don't agree with that, you don't have to eat salads as lunch and dinner to lose weight.
Just eat 3 times a day, and only, 3 times. So breakfast, lunch and dinner. It doesn't really matter if you eat junkfood, just try to not do it daily and only do it once (so don't eat fries as lunch and hamburgers as dinner).
I lost about 22lb (10kg) last summer, in about 2 months time. I ate 3 times a day and I jogged 3, sometimes 4, times a week.
OT: I think that we can all agree that cardio is the best way to lose the fat you're talking about Anne.
Just start slowly if you have a bad condition, you'll get there eventually.
