Hey guys, figured I would make this topic to shed some light on the drastic changes happening recently here in the community. First I would like to say that is has been an honor to be given this amount of trust and reliance to execute such an important role here in the community. What is my role? It's a question many have been asking. Simply put, I'm here to facilitate all activities relating to scripting. This includes (but is not limited to): 1. Adding new SDN scripts 2. Reviewing/Removing broken SDN scripts 3. Updating current SDN scripts 4. Review scripts for malicious code 5. Work with scripters to achieve common goals (Scripter's Union) 6. Manage changes to scripts (pricing, payouts, etc.) 7. Recruit script testers and review scripts before they enter the SDN Believe it or not, it's time consuming work. What has been especially time consuming is the MASSIVE two-month backlog of work that I had to complete. Regardless, I'm pleased to announce the following: Over 10 broken scripts have been removed from the SDN All scripts are being updated at least once per day 3 New SDN Script Writers have been appointed Over 7 new SDN scripts have been released: Scrubs Herblore Swizzbeat's Herb Identifier BBfireMaking Toasty Blue Dragons Toph NMZ Fudu Fisher SharkGuildFisher With one script in testing: Toasty's Tutorial Island There has been a lot of drama revolving my promotion; all I can say is that I hope nobody quits because of me and I hope that I meet everyone's expectation. I do not receive money for my work; I'm here because as a script writer, I feel like I could improve the experience for other scripters. With that said, I'm not a Moderator or an Admin. I have no control over who gets promoted, demoted, banned, or warned. I am not an expert in community management and the staff I work with serve as my mentors. So this is how I see it You asked for help offered 3M, then you are getting help and get excited you offer 300k EXTRA on top of the 3M + an account. You then decide that is to much payment after you already agreed to give it all to him for his service of helping you. I'll put this into another scenario. @otroll - 5uck has more power over me when it comes to promotions, however he values the input of both myself and Maldesto. When we look at who becomes and Official Script Developer, we review the totality of all the person's accomplishments. @kief - I've contacted script developers of "older scripts" and made lots of effort to catch them up to speed. Some of the older scripts will be slowly coming in. @adrian - A review of the first week working here.

Houston, we have fixed the problem! After some chit chatting with zach it turns out when I was in the process of switching all my files over to my new computer for some reason an old version of the start up UI was transferred and I never caught that. You know somethings wrong when the lead Community Manager knows that his community is full of trolls and people who don't take staff voting seriously. Lol

Big decisions cannot be decided by the current Administration team alone. It is obvious they have trouble themselves in the area of making good choices. Edit: When Super for the week, the lack of communication was obvious. I wouldn't know what was going on until it happened.

We have a great staff team at the moment, and your community vote would just be a bunch of trolls and no serious candidates. I haven't received one pm from anyone saying "hey, I know your not asking everyone, but look at "insert name here" for moderator, he is very helpful and knows what he is doing." Its always new threads trolling in the spam section. How do you think the staff picks the team, they ask "how do you feel about ****** for global, or chat box" If its enough for yes we look further and maybe give them a chance. We don't just promote on who I think is the best, I ask the staff team. I would never just promote someone. I ask everyone what they think before making any decisions. Then we go through a trial period of watching over them. Someone suggested someone the other night and within 5 minutes we started laughing because the guy was very helpful for a long time and never had one slip up and right after we mentioned him he went on a rampage.

Hey! Just a little bit about me My Names Sam, but i guess you can call me monk, monkalicious, whatever floats ya boat! I have been around in the Runescape Botting / Private server area for well over 4 years now and i personally love it It's very chill. Currently i am playing old school runescape and i have a main with 70+ in all combat stats (which i will be hoping to sell soon) My main passion on runescape, other than botting is questing. Currently i am sitting on 194 quest points and i am very eager to get a quest cape. Most people find questing boring, but to me it's fun there are very cool story lines in it most of the quests. My Goals: Whilst I begin to bot on OSbot i wish to set myself a few goals both in game and forum based. [ ] Open up a questing service (i am working on a piece of art work now) [ ] Win a SOTW atleast once. [ ] Bot a 99 without getting banned [ ] Get trusted and known for the right reasons within the community. Recently my insane druid bot has randomly stopped working, no idea why of course. I click the script and simply nothing appears ? this is the first time its happened and it doesn't seem likes its going to be working any time soon... Is anyone else who has purchased the script having the problem? any tips to maybe fix the problem? I wouldn't care if it was a free script, only posting this topic because I've payed for this premium script. Thank you.

I know this is quite ironic, creating a topic where I am ranting on the people who rant on Maxi (mindfck), but I am just so annoyed of reading topics daily from people (especially ex-staff that are on another botting forum now), crying about Maxi. 1. OSBot is still the biggest Oldschool Botting Community. 2. Maxi and the staff are working hard on the bot, doing a great job. (Zach is also developer, AFAIK) 3. 99% of the people who rant on the lack of status updates from Maxi are ironically people from a newly created bot, who still has no client. Just my 5 cents, I'm sure I am not the only one annoyed by these people. /Botters
