need help downloading

whenever i download it and extract it to my desktop or to a folder i get a bunch of icons and files and stuff but no .exe

Download Java again if you  have Java downloaded its not supposed to show up as a zip or watever it shows up as a jar

i literally just downloaded the newest version of java before trying to download the bot i extraxted it but instead of giving me a .exe it just gives me a bunch of icons and 3 folders

You are not supposed to extract it, right click it and open with Java Platform SE Binary

i dont have that option it just shows a winrar type folder and it only lets me extract it

Install Java JRE & JDK, if that doesn't help, right lick the osbot version you have.
Properties -> open with java.

Something along those lines.

It's because you have set your default way to open .jar with winrar.

 

Right click the .jar file and select Open with -> Choose default -> See if you can find Java in the list otherwise there should be a button to browse other programs. Then click that and navigate to C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_66\bin\javaw.jar

 

Note that your java version will probably differ from mine which means the jre1.8.0_66 will most likely not have the same numbers as described.

 

Make sure to select "Always use this program to open this kind of file."
