Some people have still been linking me things like Euro and GBP pages.

Even you linked me one, so.....

Yeah... but store pricing doesn't adjust everyday according to the foreign exchange rates.

Cheapest GTX 970 without rebates in the US is 340 USD.

Put that into a currency converter and it shows that 340 USD = 470 AUD.

And then I go and look at the exact same GTX 970 model for Australian retailers and the cheapest I can find is 510 AUD.

So there's a 40 AUD difference on just one part, if you think using different currency pcpartpicker's and different currency websites and converting the price to AUD will work, it won't.

I've narrowed it down to these 3 builds with the help of a friend that knows PC building well.

Build 1 - Intel i5 build: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/L4RZVn

Build 2- AMD FX-8320 build: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/w3cWgs

Build 3 - Using already owned AMD FX-6300 build: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/G6nZVn

I have 2 HDD's totaling 1.75 TB of storage space as well as a 2 x 4 GB set of the RAM used in all 3 above builds which aren't included there.

Rationale behind the AMD builds - I play H1Z1 and with my FX-6300 and a GTX 750Ti I get around 40-90 FPS so it's more likely that the GPU is the limiting factor. Also the 240mm radiator should make up for the higher heat output on the FX series CPU's.

Please vote on which build you think is fine for the uses below.

I will typically be doing all of these at the same time.

- Running about 10 Chrome tabs.

- Running Skype & any of these 3 voice chat softwares: Teamspeak/Curse/Discord.

- H1Z1.

Or if you think you can put together a better PC for $1400-1500 AU then give it a shot using this website: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

Just don't get an AMD.

I'll need reasons...

They fucking suck.

Such a good Intel fanboy-esque answer, I'm so not convinced....

I've seen numerous game reviews where people play the game because of having an AMD and the troubles that come with it, Intel's processors have none of these problems.

Can confirm, when I switched to Intel from AMD I had far less problems while gaming.

Any in particular you could link me to? I'm curious.

Arctic, there's this new website, Google.com. It allows you to search for anything on the Internet without having to ask your neighbourhood Genii. But seriously just google it. You'll find loads.

Star citizen is one example where amd drivers fucked up and wouldn't let anyone on amd play for a while

Thanks for that, but I already referred to that new site called google.com in this thread so you would have to think I've already done some research on there wouldn't you? So be my guest, link me the game reviews that have AMD users having issues.

Look at all those games I found with issues on AMD:
